Everyone is welcome at The Agent’s House Bed and Breakfast. Our self-catering annexes are both situated at ground floor level. Further details and general information are set out below. Our aim is to help you decide if our accommodation is right for you and to ensure your stay with us a comfortable and happy one.

The Agent's Office

The Agent's Office

  • Has its own entrance off the small road alongside the Agent’s House. Over a small, flat grass verge, through a wrought iron gateway (44” (112cm W), over a 1” (3cm) concrete lip and down a concrete pathway, 44” (112cm) W at its narrowest point.

  • Subject to availability, you can park directly outside the gate or drop-off and park nearby.

  • There is one step to the front door. The entrance is 34” (86 cm) W; the step is 39” (99 cm) W and 6” (15 cm) H.

  • Flooring is natural wood floorboards/part tiles in the main room; tiles in the bathroom.
  • Catering facilities are accessible from a specially designed ‘cupboard’ in the main room.
  • There is wide space either side of the bed.
  • Heating is thermostatically controlled and adjustable; there is a heated towel rail in the shower room.
  • The en-suite is on the same level as the main room and entered via a door to an ante-room, 31” (79 cm W). There is a space 35” (89 cm) W at its narrowest point, leading into the bathroom. Josie's Annexe

  • Has its own drive. 3 steps lead to a gravelled courtyard. They are 48” (122 cm) W. The first 1.5” (4 cm) H; the second 6.5” (16 cm), the third 9” (23 cm).
  • A short walk takes you across a flagstone/gravelled surface to the front door.
  • 2 further steps access the room, 38” (96.5 cm) wide at their narrowest. The first is 5” (12.5 cm) H, the second 8” (20 cm). Door W is 35” (89 cm) at its narrowest.
  • Flooring is tiled throughout.
  • The kitchenette is immediately on the left inside the front door. Access is 30” (76 cm) W, 48” (122 cm) long.
  • There is manoeuvrable space on one side of the bed.
  • This room has under-floor heating, thermostatically controlled/adjustable; there is a heated towel rail in the bathroom.
  • The door to the en-suite is 28" (71cm) W; the shower is semi-circular, its door 17.5" (44cm) W with a step of 3" (7.5cm). Toilet height is 15.5" (39cm) & wash basin 35" (89cm).<

Assistance Dogs & Other Pets

We welcome assistance dogs, but if you are booking on-line, we would greatly appreciate a telephone call to let us know you will be bringing your canine companion.

We have dogs of our own. They are friendly, but are not permitted in the guest annexes! They live with us in the main house and have access to the rear gardens (separate from the guest areas).


Guest pets may be allowed to accompany their owners on a “by request” only basis – please call or email to discuss. If permitted, a small supplementary charge may be applied.

Guest dogs must be kept on leads & under control whilst on the property and your co-operation is requested not to allow any visiting pets onto furniture in the rooms and for waste to be collected and disposed of appropriately.


General Information

In-room guest welcome information packs can be made available in larger print on request, please don’t hesitate to ask!


Mobile phone coverage is variable within the property, depending on your network provider.


Duvets and pillows are made from high quality, synthetic materials, suitable for people with allergies.


Decaffeinated coffee, tea & herbal teas are available in the rooms as standard. We are happy to supply soya milk and/or other special dietary requirement items wherever possible; please contact us directly to request these in advance of your stay.
